Vintage Tractor Auction Triumph!
It was back to the 60's with a fabulous turnout at the Vintage
Tractor Auction at Mayobridge, Newry. The vendor who recently lost
his brother was offering the collection of prized assets on his
late brothers behalf to the highest bidder and we are delighted to
confirm they were all sold at an excellent financial return which
was delightful as many of the attendees would have known the owner
and been close family friends.
Group Auctioneer Drew McCarter stated 'it was fabulous to
witness the turnout of buyers. In total over 500 turned out for the
event with no online activity as the location didn't lend itself to
the technology we normally use, that's how remote the public
auction was! However it worked well as the farming community whom
we at the City Auction Group value immensely bid passionately on
this special occasion.
CEO Raymond Hill commented 'as a son and brother of the farming
community I was delighted to be invited to auction this event. We
have regular agricultural and vintage auctions both at our centres
and at other locations at the request of vendors from the
community. We have cutting edge technology if required and
qualified auctioneers with decades of experience in this sector. I
thoroughly enjoy this part of the business in fact it's where I cut
my teeth in the auctioneering industry many years ago. With three
centres ideally placed in Belfast, Omagh and Dublin we can offer
our professional services across Ireland at anytime, any place. We
aim to expand further in the coming months with some exciting
development plans driven by our MD who wants to offer more assets
and more vehicles to more people across the UK and Ireland
initially'.
