CITY Auction Group is launching an all-new dual lane at Rockingham as well as redeveloped inspection, valeting and presentation bays, following a £1m investment in the auction site over the past three months.
Pit lane garages have been converted and are now ready for the external operations team to process vehicles to the highest possible standard. All the operational aspects of the business are now within the City Auction Group Arena inside the race circuit to further enhance the inspection, tactical refurbishment and presentation standards. It says this will deliver significant time and cost savings.
It will be holding its launch dual-lane sale event on January 15, when it will offer corporate vehicles and LCVs on behalf of vendors including PSA Finance, Vauxhall Finance, Ogilvie Fleet, RCI Financial Services, FCA, Semalease, Dawson Rentals, Honda Financial Services, Liquid Fleet, Northridge Finance, MultiFleet, Avis and Budget. A total of 350 cars and 100 LCVs will be available.
City Auction Group predicts its annual volume capacity in 2019 will be 100,000 passenger cars and 50,000 LCVs. Managing director Michael Tomalin said: ‘We have been extremely busy over the last three months redeveloping our auction facility at Rockingham, as well as expanding our defleet and vehicle remarketing capacity.
‘Our complete portfolio of defleet and remarketing services is now firmly in position and we can look forward to developing a professional infrastructure to include inspection and collection services, vehicle storage with availability from five to 150 acres, vehicle refinishing processes, and tactical refurbishment, supported by a choice of vehicle remarketing solutions.
‘With 12 locations perfectly situated across the UK and Ireland, we now have the scope to manage all defleet and remarketing requirements to the highest possible standard, supported by a great team of experienced personnel and cutting-edge technologies.’
