7th July 2013
With the recent introduction of the inaugural second plate in Ireland on the 1st July 2013 auction halls have witnessed increased bidding both physically and online at Dublin City Auctions.
MD Michael Tomalin states 'the voice of the motor industry in Ireland the SIMI have confirmed that leading up to the release of the inaugural 132 plate new car sales were down 75% versus June 2012. The lack of confidence clearly affected the used vehicle market as auction halls became quieter and online activity minimal. We have raised the bar in the industry since the introduction of our Dublin facility in January 2013 and our core buyer base is typically motor industry professionals capable of multi volume purchases of corporate supplied vehicles and not end of life vehicles with little or no worth. We provide a high tier remarketing solution to the corporate automotive professional with cutting edge concepts and are the only auction group in the Emerald Isle to be SIMI and NAMA members. We operate to the highest possible code of practice with swift payment processes and polished procedures'.
