CITY AUCTION REPORTS MAJOR GROWTH SINCE THE LAUNCH OF ITS NEW DEFLEET CENTRES

30th May 2018

City Auction Group has experienced significant growth of its strategically located defleet centres across the UK and Ireland since launch.

Over the last three months, the defleet centres have recorded an overall increase of 300% in vehicles moved to Rockingham, from six of the ten centres. London and Glasgow recorded the largest increase in vehicles, up by an overall 250%. This is a result of corporate vendors noting the significant financial rewards by moving vehicles to a more suitable central hub remarketing facility from a typically underperforming region.

Michael Tomalin, Managing Director of City Auction Group: “We believe our centrally positioned remarketing centre based at Rockingham Motor Speedway has immense growth potential to handle auction events either physical, or online, for corporate clients and major dealer groups across the UK.

“The facts are that professional buyers want volume and an easily accessible location at a prestigious venue where they can purchase quality, end of term vehicles. We offer world-class facilities, swift movement and tactical refurbishment programmes.

“Further exciting plans will be to introduce a second online platform at our Rockingham corporate fleet and LCV events dedicated specifically for the Irish buyer network. We see huge growth for both sectors into this region to complement our established buyer base.”

The ten defleet centres are based in London E15, Glasgow, Hartlepool, Stoke, Doncaster, Colchester, Bristol, Omagh, Dublin and Cork, Republic of Ireland. City Auction Group now offers a comprehensive selection of defleet centres, enabling corporate vendors and major dealer groups to allocate vehicles from any region of the UK and Ireland, prior to swift movement to Rockingham, or Belfast.
