We have plans for further expansion throughout 2023 with strategically located centres positioned throughout the UK to enhance our current centres for both the auction group and PurpleRock.
It chose Brightfield Business Hub on Bakewell Road to expand the Peterborough sites by over 40%. This has created 25 more jobs taking the workforce to over 100 employees across the business.
Brightfield Business Hub, the former RNIB headquarters, was purchased in 2018 and developed by The Brightfield Group into a space for more than 100 local businesses and continues to grow.
The opening event on 11 October 2022 saw 166 on site attendees with an additional 274 joining online. A total of 312 vehicles were sold. CEO Michael Tomalin said: “It’s really exciting to come back to where the journey started for me personally more than 30 years ago at British Car Auctions, Peterborough.” Spencer Wrench, CEO of Brightfield, said: “We’re delighted to welcome our newest partner and are really excited to see this move enable City Auction Group to expand and grow for many years to come.”
