With snow still on the ground at the start of the Ford Retail Super Sale there were concerns the event would even take place. However the recent introduction of the new vehicle preparation bays and outside viewing canopy was a game changer.
Chief Executive Raymond Hill stated 'the team have worked literally around the clock to get this special event on and without the new canopy and prep bays I'm not sure we would have been operational today. However we need not have concerned ourselves the turnout of buyers to purchase the well sought after Ford Retail product was immense. I have never seen a larger crowd in all my years at this facility. The online activity was incredible to with 65 registered motor trade buyers from all over the UK and Ireland competing ferociously with the physical attendees.
We have never achieved that level of sales and conversion at a single auction, it confirms how far we have come since the introduction of Belfast City Auctions less than two years ago. We are accumulating new corporate accounts and getting stronger as a team by the day. This week has been a very successful time for the business'.
MD Michael Tomalin confirmed all the above by stating 'the Ford Retail brand is renowned as a market leading product. The preparation for each and every vehicle is immense and we have had to learn how to cope with the highest possible requirement but it pays dividends, professional buyers want to purchase genuine pedigree 'ready to retail' vehicles and Ford Retail are 'better by the detail!'.
